Moroccan Tribal Ceramics (ca. 1920)

Moroccan Jobbanna ceramics Butter pots. €800.00

Moroccan Ceramic Tureens, known as ‘ Jobbannas’ where made between the late 19th and early 20th century.

These vessels were used for serving and preserving food. The surfaces and the drawings are rustic and imperfect. Each of this set has copper bans around them.

Very rare to find a set of 4 of this age all together .

These are beautiful examples made probably in Fez, 2 of them marketed on the bottom by the potter.

A beautiful and very decorative piece of Moroccan tribal ceramic with a striking form and colours that make it very popular today amongst interior decorators.
